In collaboration with HackenProof, a leading web3 bug bounty and vulnerability coordination platform, Mina Foundation is excited to share the launch of a new bug bounty program, which aims to further enhance the security of the Mina Protocol network.
Trusted by a global network of more than 35,000 skilled bug hunters, HackenProof has established itself as a cornerstone of proactive cybersecurity. By partnering with Mina Foundation, the ecosystem gains access to a dynamic and highly skilled hacker community, ensuring the network remains secure and resilient.
What’s new?
As the ecosystem continues to flourish, user testing underway, and projects preparing to launch on mainnet, this initiative seeks to protect the Mina Protocol and its maturing community by incentivizing hackers to find and report vulnerabilities that could otherwise be exploited.
This new bug bounty program offers:
- Wider network: HackenProof has one of the largest pools of KYC’ed hackers. Over 35,000 bug hunters trust the platform, with more than 17,000 reports validated.
- Improved collaboration: The program is open to anyone who would like to participate.
The program currently offers bounties ranging from $250 up to $10,000 USD for valid discoveries in three key focus areas: Mina Protocol, Mina Oracles, and Mina Token Bridge. The scope of bounties will increase as more applications and infrastructure move onto Devnet – keep an eye out!
How to participate?
This isn’t just about finding bugs—it’s about building a resilient, secure future for the entire ecosystem. Your contributions play a crucial role in this journey, and your support is vital to Mina Protocol’s success.
If you’d like to participate in the program, you can register as a hacker through the HackenProof website and follow the instructions provided.
Once registered, you’ll be able to submit reports through the Mina Protocol bug bounty page. Check out the following resources to get started:

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to the future of the ecosystem!
About Mina Protocol
Mina is the world’s lightest blockchain, powered by participants. Rather than apply brute computing force, Mina uses advanced cryptography and recursive zk-SNARKs to design an entire blockchain that is about 22kb, the size of a couple of tweets. It is the first layer-1 to enable efficient implementation and easy programmability of zero knowledge smart contracts (zkApps). With its unique privacy features and ability to connect to any website, Mina is building a private gateway between the real world and crypto—and the secure, democratic future we all deserve.
